Pushing value up the supply chain
• About 8% of total cost of a cup of coffee goes to growing/exporting stages (source Specialty Coffee Association, SCA).
• Typically, producing countries receive little to no profits after the exporting stage… We aim to change this and return as much of the economic benefits of our business to Colombia as possible.
• Current vendors: roasting partner, product packaging, e-commerce/to-go bags, glasswares, chocolate complementary products and marketing services… on average this represents roughly 14% of the total cost of a cup of coffee per SCA.
